Brittany Thierry

Brittany Thierry was born and raised in Lake Charles, Louisiana, before calling New Orleans home. She graduated from the University of New Orleans in 2016 with a degree in Psychology, focusing on Child Development and Educational Psychology. In addition to her background as an educator, Brittany has experience managing social media accounts and operations for pop-up events in New Orleans.

Now, as Programs and Communications Manager, Brittany combines her love of storytelling with program development and implementation as well as connecting with the 826 New Orleans audience. She is passionate about creating spaces where young people can thrive and believes that through writing, young people can develop confidence, express their unique perspectives, and positively influence the world around them.

In her free time, Brittany enjoys buying (too many) plants, listening to podcasts, and spending time with family and friends.
